The Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) of the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) selects officers for the Government of Sindh. It starts with an MCQ screening test, followed by written papers and an interview.
Eligibility rules, age limits, fees and dates change from year to year, so always check the latest official notice from the SPSC before you apply.
The screening test
The screening test is a multiple-choice paper, mostly general knowledge, current affairs, Pakistan studies, Islamic studies, English, everyday science and basic mathematics. Many candidates are filtered out here, so prepare for it seriously.
The written exam
The written papers are similar in style to CSS and PMS, with English essay and composition, general and Sindh-focused papers, and optional subjects. Writing practice and past papers matter most.
Other SPSC tests
SPSC also holds recruitment tests for individual posts, departmental exams and the Engineers Cadre exam. Past papers for each are on CSS Nexus, grouped by test.
